Meet Our Directors

Bill Krauss

Director

Bill began his career as a record producer and sound engineer, and has since been an actor, improvisor, photographer, sculptor. Since moving to Prescott in 2019, he’s added director to that list, having directed “12 Angry Jurors” at PCA in 2023. (He’s also been a software developer and, seemingly like all performers, had a stint as bartender.)

He strives for balance in everything and believes that technique without passion is boring, and that passion without technique is a mess.

Frank Malle

Director

Frank is a “collaborative director”, meaning he works closely with his cast to create strong characters in a supportive environment where actors can feel safe to take risks and explore their characters without fear of  judgement or ridicule. Frank is equally at home directing comedies, dramas, thrillers and musicals. His directing credits include Private Lives, Blithe Spirit, Dracula, Sylvia, Then There Were None, Shirley Valentine, Funny Money, South Pacific, Fiddler on the Roof and Prisoner of Second  Avenue.

Scott Neese

Director

As a lover of theatre, I have directed more than 50 shows over the years, 9 of those right here at PCA.  There are two specific ideas that continue to bring me back to telling stories on the stage.  First, theatre is collaborative. I enjoy working with the creative team, cast, and crew to bring a singular story to life.  Second, I love working with actors and seeing them grow as they develop their individual characters

Chris Tenney

Music Director

Chris Tenney serves as the Director of Instrumental Music at Yavapai College, and has music directed shows and pit orchestras at YC and PCA for over 10 years. He has earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music Education, and is currently finishing his Doctorate, also in Music Education. He is passionate about using live musicians in theatrical contexts and creating strong educational experiences for his performers.

Amanda Koiter

Director

Amanda weaves her background in singing, acting, and screenwriting into the directing process to bring her productions to life on the stage. Although her roots are in film and television (both in acting and working in writers rooms for network TV dramas), she prefers the live energy that can only be found in the theater, and works hard with her casts and crews to create and tell vibrant stories that never disappoint.

Jason Koiter

Director

Jason is a professional musician, TV producer, director, writer, and marginally funny comedian. He’s very excited to direct at PCA because it’s the kind of place that feels like family the moment you walk through the door. He enjoys directing because you get to explore beyond the page to fully realize the stories being told, and because it’s so fun to collaborate with both cast and crew to bring it all to life!
