TWICE UPON A TIME
Theater Adventurers

Theatre Adventurers is a tremendous theatrical program for youngsters and is especially beneficial for those with little or no theatre experience. Youngsters will audition, rehearse, and perform a one-act play while learning theatre basics and having a LOT of fun!

Summer Stock Junior
July 8 – 27
Ages 10 – 14
This program is a great experience for youth, with or without prior knowledge, who would like to be involved in the performance of a “junior” musical. This experience will bridge from the “Theatre Adventurers” to “Teen Summer Stock”, preparing participants for the whole theater experience. There will be three performances in the Cabaret. The days are scheduled to allow the participants to learn the process of producing a show with professional guidance and educational expertise.

The explosive movie musical bursts onto the live stage! With dynamic new songs augmenting the powerhouse hits from its bestselling Oscar-nominated score, Footloose celebrates the exhilaration of youth, the wisdom of listening to one another, and the power of forgiveness.
Auditions: May 20, 21, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Location: Multipurpose Room – Under the Studio Theatre (parking in the back)
Audition criteria: Sing one pop song with an accompaniment track (may be from the show/movie). No accompanist provided. Do not sing acapella. Be prepared to read from the show and learn a short dance combination.
Cost: $120
Suze’s PCA believes that all youth should have equitable access to quality arts experiences, which was one of the significant drivers of our campus expansion. Now that the new studio theater, gallery, and classrooms are open, we are poised to fully meet Suze’s PCA mission as a full-service arts center by providing youth arts experiences that:
- Unlock the potential of the next generation of creative thinkers
- Bring young people from different backgrounds together to build connections, understanding, and cultural awareness
- Provide personally meaningful activities that build confidence and
- Build skills in communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and perseverance, all of which can improve academic performance and equip our youth for success in school, work, and life.
Partial scholarships may be available for those in need.
